Annotations allow you to capture and share insights from your analysis with your team.
As you discover more about your data, you may want to add an annotation for yourself or your colleagues about findings, next steps, or additional business context that help explain certain behaviors patterns. In the Segmentation tool you can click on any point on the chart to add an annotation. Annotations are typically used to mark:
- The beginning or end of a campaign
- Interesting trends in your analysis
- Unexpected events e.g. data outage, that add flavor to your analysis
For example, if there is a clear user drop-off on your chart, you may want to create an annotation on that data point as a reminder for yourself or as a call to action for a colleague to investigate. For more information about annotations, click here.
